Must make sure the Garmin is charged and ready for tomorrow.
I know I’ll get an official chip time from the race, but I want to see all the geeky numbers in the splits and such.

I don’t know if it’s the fact that my first half marathon is less than 24 hrs away, the sugar rush from the donuts I ate this morning, or listening to my boss talk about being robbed at gun point last night, but I just feel kinda jumpy today.
Guess I’ll do some light exercise when I get home after packet pickup after work.
At this rate I won’t be able to sleep tonight.
Joann Thomas
(I couldn’t agree more!)
Starts tomorrow.
It was supposed to start this morning, but I wimped out at 3:30am.
After work today, I opened the DVD and watched it to see what I’m in for in the morning.
The first phase doesn’t look too bad. The cardio part anyway. The strength training looked…Jillian worthy.
This is only Wednesday.
This is only Wednesday.
This is only Wednesday.
Yes, it’s only Wednesday, but it’s the last Wednesday before my first half marathon!
I’m a little torn on what to do after work.
Right now, my legs feel good. Really good. My last run that was worth a damn was Christmas day.
Do I run a quick 3 miles after work this afternoon (possibly in the rain - yeah! I love running in the rain) or just chill and maybe ride my bike for a few miles after work?
Anybody with half/full marathon experience want to chime in here with some much appreciated advice?
Would that trainer work with nobby mountain bike tires?
I finished all 8 glasses of water (plus an extra glass or 2), I did a very short run (stupid cramping calves that are STILL sore), I did strength training. I had my body fat measured.
That was…horrid.
35.4%. 77 pounds of fat. 141 pounds of lean body mass.
Wait…isn’t my goal weight like 135?
Hmmm…think I’ll be rethinking that.
No way to get down to 0% BF and loose 6 pounds of muscle and still be alive.
I like to eat, y’all.
I don’t want to necessarily say a certain size clothing as a goal, either, because that may or may not be realistic.
So for now, I’m going to work on reducing the BF percentage to a reasonable and healthy number and watch my clothes get smaller.
I’m so flipping cold! Wearing workout pants, a tshirt, and a sweatshirt. The heater is on.
Thinking about going to bed early just to be under 3 blankets!
I HATE winter!
then I died from eating yogurt past it’s expiration date.
Think good thoughts, please.
I don’t know which one of y’all had the magic answer, but THANK YOU!
I tried all 3 at the same time and finished my salad. I decided that one of the things I’m going to do at least 3 times a week is to spend the last 15 or 20 minutes of my lunch walking outside.
By the time I got outside and was hit with the cold air, I realized my hiccups were gone.
THANK YOU!!
I’m eating my salad and drinking my Coke Zero and suddenly have the hiccups. Someone please help.
I can’t go back to work like this.
I can just see me answering the phone. “Pharmacy, hic This is hic Dawn.”
I think I’m going to choke on my lettuce.
Working on writing out my first set of 2011 goals, which will be (and have been) started today.
First up, at least 8 glasses of water a day at least 5 days a week.
Already 3 glasses down for the day and it’s not even 8:30am.
:-D
This is going to be a good year.
Seriously.
Check out Damn You Auto Correct.
Best laugh I’ve had in a few months.
Yep, again.
March 19th, 2011, 2pm, Conroe, TX.
2 friends will be running with me this time. Just waiting for them to register.
to the 12th annual Texas Marathon and Half Marathon.
Got my preliminary race directions via email the other day.
Packet pickup on 12/31/10.
Timing chip pickup starts at 6:30am 1/1/11.
Half marathon starts at 8:15 1/1/11.
Once the first couple miles are done, the rest WILL be easy. Well, doable, anyway.
I hope.
