Wasn’t there someone out there in Tumblrland who got a BodyMedia FIT device for Christmas? Anybody know who that was? Or was it you?

I think we should have a fitblr team for http://www.beatthejuggernaut.com/index.php!
It sounds like Warrior Dash. Except this one benefits Susan G. Komen Foundation. I’m planning on doing it. And, my neice will be 13 by then, I’m going to try to convince her to do it with me. I know my sister won’t. But, Sabrina might. Maybe.
Anybody else interested?
Saturday, I had some errands to run. I needed to get shoes for some friends for Warrior Dash (apparently they don’t go to Walmart on their own…), pick up something for my youngest nephew for his birthday - matchbox cars and a track should be good for a 3 year old boy, right? Anyway, while I was out, I found a new scrub store close to home.
I needed new scrubs. I have 2 real pair. Not enough.
So I went in, found some stuff to try on, and walked out with a size smaller pants than I normally buy! They’re a little snug through the thigh still, but they fit great everywhere else. I just have thunder thighs, and I can deal with that. I bought large instead of XL! And they are women’s! Women’s sizes are always smaller than mens.
So, I’ll take it as a NSV. :)
Seriously.
I thought I’d do C25K, but exchange the “run” parts for “run faster” and the “walk” for my usual run pace. Try to work on speeding up. Yeah. Ok.
W1D1 - I got owned. 10 minutes in and I was done. I did manage to force myself to finish out a mile, but then stopped the Garmin and crawled the rest of the way home.
I know they can’t all be good. So the next run better kick ass.
You still out there? Haven’t seen anything from you lately.
Then it’s home and a change of clothes to head off to crossfit.
My finish line clip! I’m the one in the yellow shirt and black shorts moving like she hurts is soooo glad to see the finish line. :)
I can’t show any of the other photos until I get home to steal borrow them from the site.
Oh! I just realized I can paste the shortcut… http://www.asiorders.com/estf.asp?EVENTID=75398&PWD=&BIB=16476
Small glass of cheap wine, Ancient Aliens on the History channel, sleep timer on the tv set.
Night, y’all.

Official results.
Officially, this half was 4 seconds slower than my first half on 1/1/11. HOWEVER… this run had a potty stop at 0.8 mile and some absolutely KILLER hills. So, I figure I beat my first half time. The goal for Dallas - 3 hours or better.
Here’s the geeky stuff:

Tough course! Soooo hilly!

One of those hills was practically straight up. I had problems walking it, can’t even imagine the wheel chair athletes doing it.
I still need to go through my camera and see what pictures my mom took while I was gone.
Update after a much needed shower.
I’ll be in the 13 - 15:00 group. I know I won’t manage faster than that and I don’t think I want to try.
Will have on black Nike shorts and a bright yellow shirt tomorrow.
Went to the expo, got my packet picked up, did a little looking around, picked up some samples, bought some cool looking wicking headbands, bought a new 13.1 key chain.
Back in the room now, hanging with my mom, trying not to panic. This isn’t my first rodeo. I know I can do this. But it still makes me nervous. I didn’t realize until today how hilly downtown Austin is!
But, it’ll be ok. I’ll get my bib pinned on my shirt soon, plug the Garmin into the wall to make sure it’s charged. Not too worried about the iPod - not planning on running with it, anyway. Do want to make sure my phone is charged up - with 18,000+ runners tomorrow, I want to know I can find my mom when it’s all said and done. After all, she’ll have the keys to my car!

Butt kicked.
She came in this morning, all perky and happy and carrying 2, count them 2 boxes of doughnuts.
And then she opened the boxes so the smell just sort of oozed out.
I am resisting, but, heaven help me, they smell good.
