This could be bad.
I’ve eaten well all day. I have. Low WW point sandwich at lunch, protein shake and English muffin with light laughing cow on it this morning, apples, applesauce. But, I did some strength training and just totally felt my hunger kick up and blood sugar plummet. I am totally fixing to eat a pizza at the gym.
0430 wake up calls and hour long swims at odarkthirty make me hungry!
Supposed to go to my first practice tomorrow. If I can get out of bed and into a swim suit at 4:30 in the morning. That’s 2.5 hours before I have to be at work. Ok, end whine. I’s skeered. @Robin, come swim with me!
The semester, that is. Did our group presentation last night. Went well. Now all that’s left is class saturday, a discussion lead on Monday, final the following Monday, turn in major paper on Wednesday, class on Saturday the 12th, TriGirl on Sunday the 13th, class Monday the 14th, and then Spain and Portugal for 2 weeks! Because I know we all have lots of extra time between work, school, kids, training for various races, etc. BUT, this was a pretty quick read. It was also very inspiring. “Can’t Swim, Can’t Ride, Can’t Run: From Common Man to Iron Man” by Andy Holgate. Made me very glad my tris will be in the US and not England.
Master swimming - the one I’m looking at is Fort Bend Masters Swimming in Sugar Land. Found it through the US Master Swimming website. And, Ren and I are (at the moment) planning on another Lake 288 swim Sunday Afternoon.

I found a master’s swim group that only requires you be able to swim 25 yards unassisted. But the swim times are sooooooooo early in the mornings. And I am so not a morning person. Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 5am - 6am and Saturday 6:30am - 8am. $45 a month for unlimited coached swims. You can do a weeks worth of complimentary swims to see if you’ll like it. Maybe...

Why it’s 4:30 on Saturday morning and I’m awake? I don’t HAVE to be up for 5 hours. Ugh.
Plan for the day
Work until 3:30 or I can’t take it anymore, whichever comes first. I swam yesterday, used a pull bouy for the first time. Really worked on getting my stroke right and using my legs less. Brain eating amoeba
I survived the swim in the lake Saturday only to get brain eating amoeba. I know that’s what’s causing this headache. It can’t be not having taken my blood pressure meds yet. Or lack of caffeination yesterday. Or lack of good sleep. Or sinus/allergies. It’s brain eating amoeba.
